Arnhemse Rugby Club The Pigs
Club summary
Arnhem's Pigs have a name with a fairly practical explanation. A local account says wild pigs had torn up the first field the club was given. Members later built their own clubhouse at Drielsedijk, adding changing rooms and a place to gather after playing.Recent scores

Club history
A neighbourhood report traces The Pigs’ name to a field churned up by wild pigs
Malburgen’s neighbourhood newsroom reported in 2019 that wild pigs completely turned over the first playing field allocated to the Arnhem club. The report says that incident became the origin story for the name The Pigs.
