For club admins·Part of Team operations

Roles and permissions for the whole club, one view for each role.

Give every role in the club its own access, set once in club settings. The club gets roles: owner, admin, coach, manager, physio, player admin, and team roles under them. The admin opens the permissions matrix and sets what each role can see and change. The physio sees a physio’s view; the player sees their own.

The club gets roles

Owner, admin, coach, manager, physio, player admin. One login each, one role each, instead of one shared login for everyone.

  • Six club-wide roles, set in club settings.
  • Team roles sit under them.

Set what each role can do

Open the permissions matrix. Every role is a column, every permission a row. Press a cell and that role can see or change that thing.

  • One switch per role per permission.
  • Change it any time from club settings.

The physio gets their view

Log in as the physio and the dashboard is the physio’s: the squad, availability, the training calendar for their team. What the admin set is what they get.

  • Each role opens on its own dashboard.
  • Nothing to hunt for, nothing to ignore.

Give a person a team role

Pick Tom, make him coach of the 1st XV, and his dashboard changes to that team. A role on one team, not the whole club.

  • Team roles are per team.
  • Their dashboard follows the role.

Questions about roles and permissions

What a club admin asks before handing out roles.

Which roles does Frostlete have?
Club-wide roles and team roles. The staff-level club roles are owner, admin, coach, manager, physio, and player admin. Team roles sit under them for one team.
Who decides what a role can see and change?
An admin, in the club settings area. The permissions matrix lists every role against every permission, and the admin turns each one on or off.
Can someone have a role on one team but not the whole club?
Yes. Team roles are separate from club-wide roles, so a person can hold a role on the 1st XV without a role across the club.
Does every volunteer job get its own workflow?
No. This is role control: it sets what each role can see and change. It does not give every job at the club its own set of screens or steps.
Can we change permissions later?
Yes. Roles and permissions are settings in the club settings area, and an admin can open the matrix and change them at any time.

Give every role its own access.

Set the roles once, open the permissions matrix, and every person at the club logs in to their own view.
