Why we built it

The club week should not depend on one person chasing every answer.

Frostlete keeps the event answers, the reminder, the calendar feed, and role access in their own clear workflows.

The team operations map

Four current jobs, plus one planned. One rugby week.

Open the job you need. Each page shows the complete workflow and its limits.

For team staff

The current answer and the reminder stay with the event staff are planning.

Players answer on the event. Staff see the count and the people still silent, choose when to send reminder emails, and can set an answer after a text or call.

For the whole club

Each member gets their own calendar link, while admins decide what each role can see and change.

The calendar feed is read-only and works with iCalendar apps. Club-wide and team roles remain separate, and an admin controls the permissions matrix from club settings.

Brendan Bennett, founder of Frostlete, passing a ball during a rugby match.
From the founder

I know the pain.

I’m a player who’s always ended up in the operations role: treasurer, president, marketing, the club’s social accounts.

I built this app because I wanted it, and it didn’t exist. Every feature on the roadmap is a wish-list item of mine, hand-designed for a team I’m actually in.

I still play at the highest level in the Netherlands. At UTSA I was president of the rugby team for two years, raising the money, planning the travel, running the trainings, booking the socials, presiding over a few kangaroo courts.

And I know the struggle from the inside: refreshing three group chats to find out which field, the bus waiting on the players who never check their phone, an update landing in another thread, the schedule living in one person’s head, half the squad missing from whichever list you were looking at. This app has been a brain-child of mine for years, and I finally have the skills to ship it.

Questions about team operations

If yours isn't one of these, . I read every one myself.

How does availability work?
Players answer Going or Can’t go on the event. Staff see the current counts and who has not answered, and can update a player’s answer after a text or call. See the full Availability workflow.
Are reminder emails automatic?
No. A member of staff chooses when to send them. Frostlete finds the players who have not answered that event and emails only those people. See Reminder Emails.
Does the club calendar update members’ own calendars?
Yes. Each member can subscribe to their own iCalendar feed in Google, Apple, Outlook, or another compatible calendar. The feed is read-only, and the calendar app decides how often it refreshes. See the Calendar Feed.
Who controls roles and permissions?
An admin opens the permissions matrix in club settings and decides what each club or team role can see and change. See Roles and Permissions.
Does one team role give access across the whole club?
No. Team roles are separate from club-wide roles, so a person can hold a role for one team without receiving a role across the club.
Does requesting club access get our club in?
A request records your interest. It does not promise access, timing, onboarding, or commercial terms.

If you’ve read this far, you and I are probably trying to fix the same Saturday morning.

— Brendan
