Club history
A village GP founded the club so rugby would come to him
A GP who had played in Groningen founded Rugbyclub Dwingeloo in 1974. The council granted a pitch only after he threatened to buy a meadow and play there, and the early side temporarily used a football pitch with extended goal posts.
