Club summary
The Smugglers were founded in 1973, after a trip to watch France play Wales helped spark the idea. Their first clubhouse was an old hut bought for one guilder. A storm took its roof off in 1990; the repaired section lasted until the building was demolished.Teams the club has fielded

Club history
A one-guilder hut survived losing its roof in a storm
The club says its first clubhouse hut came from Cebo in IJmuiden and was bought for one symbolic guilder. A Thursday storm in 1990 removed its roof within half an hour, and the repaired section remained the strongest part until demolition.
