How rugby is organised in Chinese Taipei

Competition structureAsia region · Guide updated 12 Aug 2026
StructureCompetitionsClubsSources

Chinese Taipei Rugby Football Union published a completed 2026 80th National Rugby Championship with separate Open and High School divisions. This page uses the union's official name for the territory. It is a dated event, not a complete recurring domestic league ladder.

Governing authorityChinese Taipei Rugby Football Union
Dutch rugby standings

The country structure

Permanent leagues, seasonal phases and parallel competitions stay separate so a cup or playoff is not mistaken for a league tier.

National championship event

The 2026 national championship has an Open division and a High School division, each with its own published results and final placings.

  • One dated multi-division event

The 80th championship is a 2026 event with two named divisions. It does not show a recurring senior league, a promotion system or a complete national club pyramid.

High School division

CTRFU published dated High School division fixtures and results separately from the Open division.

  • Age grade is not a lower league tier

The High School division is a category inside this national event. Its teams and results do not show a senior club ladder, which clubs they belong to, or movement between age groups.
