How rugby is organised in the Cayman Islands
Competition structureNorth America region · Guide updated 12 Aug 2026
Cayman Rugby Football Union's 2026 domestic programme separates a men's fifteens tri-series, a planned Cayman sevens series and a youth programme. The named league rounds, charity events and vase are event stages, not tiers. This page is not a complete pyramid or a map of clubs.
Permanent leagues, seasonal phases and parallel competitions stay separate so a cup or playoff is not mistaken for a league tier.
Doctors Hospital Tri Series
CRFU's 2026 domestic programme groups the Alex Alexander Memorial Cup League, Heineken Charity events and Doctors Hospital Vase into one men's fifteens tri-series. Those are league rounds and event stages, not promotion tiers.
Six listed league rounds
The Alex Alexander Memorial Cup League has six rounds. That page gives no completed scores, final table, scoring rules or corrections.
Charity and vase boundary
Heineken Charity events and the Doctors Hospital Vase are separate events within the programme. They are not lower divisions, promotion stages or standalone competitions.
Cayman sevens series
The same 2026 programme advertises a separate Cayman sevens series. No fixtures were published, so this page shows no teams, results or recurring ladder for it.
Format stays separate
A sevens team name cannot be matched to a fifteens club or team unless the union says so.
Youth programme
CRFU describes a November-to-May youth programme separately from its senior events. It is a programme, not a lower league or a list of school, academy or club teams.
Age-grade identity withheld
That page does not name parent clubs, fixed youth team names or a path into senior competition.
Where each competition sits
Doctors Hospital Tri Series (2026)
A dated men's fifteens programme with six Alex Alexander Memorial Cup League rounds, Heineken Charity events and the Doctors Hospital Vase. This page does not treat it as a recurring competition or a set of completed results.
The programme does not say which club each team belongs to. First, reserve, youth, combined, fifteens and sevens names stay separate, and this page does not merge them.
