Questions about individual development plans
Can a player have several goals in one plan?
Yes. The flow keeps several individual goals inside a plan, with a description, priority and progress record for each one.
Does every goal need a number?
No. A goal can describe a piece of development in words. Numeric goals can also include a starting value, current value, target and unit.
Will earlier reviews stay with the plan?
The review history keeps dated coaching notes and next steps together so you can read what was agreed before the latest review.
Does a review change the training session?
A review records a reference to the session and its version. It does not rewrite completed training.
Does reaching a target finish the goal?
Completion is a separate action. Reaching the number gives the coach and player something to review before they mark the goal complete.
Are personal plans shared with the club?
Personal plans and club development plans have separate contexts. This direction does not include automatic sharing of a personal plan with the club.
Give each player a plan you can return to.
Keep the goals, training references and coaching notes together throughout the season.
