FRR publishes Romania’s 2026 national senior men’s XV ladder, with Liga de Rugby Kaufland above Divizia Națională de Seniori. Its 120-member activity report total is not a club-only list, and the mixed public directory is not turned into club pages.
Permanent leagues, seasonal phases and parallel competitions stay separate so a cup or playoff is not mistaken for a league tier.
Senior men’s XV
For the 2026 season, FRR names Liga de Rugby Kaufland as the first senior level and Divizia Națională de Seniori as the second.
Liga de Rugby Kaufland
FRR’s 2026 notice calls this the leading domestic senior competition: a seven-team double round robin, title semi-finals and final, bronze match, and a lower path of 6 v 7 then 5 v the winner. Its stray mention of places 5–8 is not used to add an eighth team.
Divizia Națională de Seniori
FRR’s 2026 launch notice describes seven teams in a double round robin and no playoff. A public page later showed eight names, so the list of teams needs a recheck. RC Gura Humorului’s move is not an automatic yearly promotion or relegation rule.
Senior women
FRR’s current pages show a senior women’s national sevens category. They do not show a current domestic senior women’s XV league.
Women’s XV status
No senior women’s XV ladder is shown here from the federation pages. The women’s sevens competition is a separate format.
Cups
FRR’s website lists Cupa României separately from Liga Kaufland and DNS.
Parallel cup family
Cupa României is a separate cup competition, not a level of the senior XV ladder or an assumed qualification route.
Sevens
FRR publishes national men’s and women’s sevens activity separately from the XV competitions.
Separate format
Senior and age-grade sevens are not part of the senior men’s XV promotion path. A club playing sevens in one season does not show a rename, successor, withdrawal or XV league status.
Youth and mini-rugby
FRR’s website and current reports list junior and regional youth phases alongside national sevens and mini-rugby activity.
Age-grade and regional phases
Junior age groups, regional phases, playoffs, play-outs and mini-rugby are kept apart from the senior ladder. A combined youth side or academy name is not a senior club.
Season-team identity limits
FRR’s public pages use changing sponsor, institutional, shortened and unaccented team names, and there is no lasting public record of which club owns which season team.
Aliases and institutional displays
Each season team name is kept as it appears on its source page. Sponsor or institutional names, web addresses and accent variants are not merged into one club here without FRR’s lasting club-to-team record and a correction path.
Reserves, U23 and representative sides
Numbered reserves, U23 partnerships, combined youth sides, academies and representative selections stay separate from senior first-team records. The public pages do not allow their names, results or history to be merged.
