Ask what needs more work

After Tuesday’s session, ask the 1st XV what they would like to practise again. The poll would give everyone the same clear choices and a closing time.

  • Passing under pressure, support lines or defensive spacing.
  • Players would submit their choice before Friday evening.

See the squad’s priorities

In this example, 10 of 18 votes go to passing under pressure. Five choose support lines and three choose defensive spacing. The totals give you something specific to consider alongside what you saw at training.

  • Compare the answers without sorting through a conversation.
  • Use the result as player input; the coaching decision stays yours.

Plan the next practice

You decide that passing needs another go. Use Frostlete’s training-session tools to change next Thursday’s passing drill to Pressure passing. The poll would inform your choice; you would make the change yourself.

  • Build or adapt the activities on the training event.
  • Members who can view the event can read its attached session after account setup.

Tell the team what changes

Write in the team chat: ten of eighteen votes went to passing, so you’ve adapted Thursday’s drill. Players can understand your decision and read the session on the training event. Their answers have a useful next step.

  • You write the message; the poll would not post it for you.
  • Keep the explanation in the team conversation for players to return to.

Make the answer worth giving.

A poll would tell you what players think. The session you choose and the explanation you share would show them what you did with it.

Questions for training and club life

Polls could help with more than the next drill. Choose what you need to learn, then decide how much weight to give the result.

  • Which activity helped?

Ask which part of a session players found most useful before you repeat it.

  • What needs explaining?

Find out which exercise or instruction needs another explanation at training.

  • How was the session pace?

Ask whether the session felt rushed, about right or too slow.

  • Which social sounds best?

Compare bowling, pizza or a club barbecue before arranging the squad’s next get-together.

  • What can you arrange?

Offer social choices that fit the time, space and budget you have.

  • How many responded?

Check the response total before treating the result as the whole squad’s view.

  • Was the result close?

A narrow split may need another conversation before you choose.

  • What about other answers?

The leading choice need not erase the rest. Consider what the other responses tell you.

  • Why choose differently?

Explain when pitch time, equipment or the next fixture leads you to another choice.

Before you put it to the squad

What the preview covers, what you would decide and what a vote would mean.

Are squad polls available now?
No. Squad polls are not available yet, and the poll shown here is an example. Training sessions on club events and team text messaging are existing tools. The connected example shows how a coach could use those tools after reading a poll.
Would the most popular answer change the session automatically?
No. The results would show players’ choices. The coach would decide what to do with them, edit the training session and write any follow-up message themselves.
Could I use a poll to choose a team social?
Yes, collecting social preferences is part of the scope. Ask the squad to choose between a few activities, then arrange the event separately. A vote would not book a place or count as an event RSVP.
Would I see who voted for each answer?
The results cover aggregate totals. Named voter visibility, anonymous voting and rules for changing a vote are not confirmed.
