Why velocity matters as much as accuracy
Imagine two passes that both hit the receiver's chest. One travels at 16 m/s, the other at 12 m/s. Over a 6 m pass, that is roughly 0.13 seconds of extra defensive reading time on the slower pass — long enough for a drifting defender to close the channel. Velocity is, in effect, time you give your runner. Spin keeps that fast-moving ball stable and catchable: a wobbling pass at high speed is harder to gather than a slower, true one.
