Malmö Rugby Club (Malmö RC, MRC) is a rugby union club in Malmö, Sweden. Founded in 1954, it calls itself the second rugby club to be registered in Sweden. The club is a member of the Swedish Rugby Federation and the Skånes Rugbyförbund district. It has children's, youth, senior and old boys' teams. In 2026 its men's team plays in Allsvenskan Herr 15s Söder.
History
The story goes that "one dark autumn night in 1954" a decision was made that there should be rugby in Malmö. Malmö Rugby Club was registered on 7 October 1954 as the second rugby club in Sweden.
In 2023 the men reached the final of the Swedish sevens championship, losing to Stockholm Exiles. In 2024 the club's under-14 and boys' under-18 teams won the Swedish youth championships (USM).
In 2025 the men won Allsvenskan. They beat Exiles over two matches, one win each, on an aggregate score of 47–39, and the title was confirmed on 11 October 2025. Stockholm Exiles RFC were that year's Swedish men's XV champions, and Malmö RC were fourth in the final ranking. At the 2026 Swedish championship week (SM-veckan) the men won the sevens title, beating Spartacus in the final.

In the club's words, trying rugby "costs absolutely nothing": newcomers may train free for a few weeks, and it runs a six- to seven-week introductory course for adults. It welcomes both complete beginners and experienced players looking for a new club. New players are asked to bring training clothes without hoods or metal parts, football boots if they have them (running shoes are fine at first) and a water bottle; players from under-10 upwards also need a mouthguard.
Membership costs 100 kr for both players and supporting members, and life membership 2,500 kr. Training fees for 2025 were 1,400 kr per half-year for seniors, 900 kr for juniors, 550 kr for minis and 800 kr a year for old boys. The club website is in English by default, with a Swedish version.
