Blindern Rugbyklubb is a rugby union club in Oslo, Norway. It plays fifteens and sevens and also competes in touch and snow rugby. It calls itself "Oslo's favourite rugby club" and "Oslo's most social team".
History
The club was founded on 22 November 2010 or in 2011.
In June 2015 the club organised a rugby festival at Voldsløkka in Oslo. On 8 October 2016 it held a joint training day there with Oslo rugbyklubb, and on 23 September 2017 it played Sagene IF at Voldsløkka in the fifteens league.
In 2025 the men finished fourth of five in the fifteens league, with one win and three defeats. On 30 May 2026 they won the final of the second round of the men's sevens series, beating NTNUI 17–7. In 2026 the men's fifteens fixtures included matches against Bergen at Voldsløkka on 29 August, Stavanger on 5 September, NTNUI on 12 September and Sagene on 26 September.
Ground
The club trains outdoors at Voldsløkka from April or May, and in winter also trains indoors at Skur 13. Its toddler rugby sessions take place at Bjølsenhallen.
Teams and training
As of August 2026, the club trains at these times:
| Period | Days | Time | Venue |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winter | Tuesday | 19:00–20:30 | Skur 13 |
| Winter | Saturday | 11:00–12:30 | Voldsløkka |
| Summer (from April or May) | Tuesday and Thursday | 18:45–21:00 | Voldsløkka |
Tuesday and Thursday times at Voldsløkka can differ from these, so confirm times with the club. The club's offer is open to men aged 17 and over.
No experience is needed, and the club's coaches work one-to-one with newcomers. Players need sports clothing and trainers or boots; a mouthguard is highly recommended and is needed for matches. As of August 2026, fees are 150 kr a year for club membership, 1,100 kr for a licence with health insurance (770 kr for half a year) and 500 kr in training fees.
The club also runs toddler rugby, a non-contact activity for very young children, often aged 2 to 5, on Sundays from 10:30 to 11:30 at Bjølsenhallen.
Club life
By the club's count it has players of 12 nationalities and a great social scene; in its own words, it is "famous for our 3rd Halves off the pitch and our defence on it". The club's motto is "A CLUB FOR ALL!"
