Rugby Club Yverdon (RCY), known as les Vert et Blanc (the Green and Whites), is a rugby club in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. It calls itself the only rugby club in the Nord-Vaudois region. Its men's first team plays in the LNA, which the club calls the highest level of Swiss rugby, and won the LNA title in 2022 and 2025. The club also has a reserve team, a sevens section and a rugby school.
History
The club was founded in 1974 and, in its own words, quickly joined the elite of Swiss rugby, which it has left only intermittently in its 50 years. After several years of rebuilding, it calls itself well established among the best clubs in Switzerland, and it won the LNA title for the third time in June 2022. The 2022 title came 34 years after the club's previous LNA title. Yverdon beat RC Geneve Plan les Ouates 37–29 in the final, despite a strong second half from the Geneva side.
Yverdon won the LNA again in 2024/25, beating Hermance RRC 25–5 in the final. The club calls this the fourth national title in its history, three years after the previous one. The same day the reserve team, RC Yverdon II, lost the Excellence A final 16–12 to Nyon RC II.
Yverdon reached the 2026 LNA final by beating GC Zurich 22–20 in the semi-final. On 30 May 2026 the Stade Municipal in Yverdon hosted the Swiss Rugby Finals Day, where Yverdon lost the LNA final 40–39 to Stade Lausanne. By the club's count, it won the Swiss Cup for the fourth time, after 1987, 2008 and 2023, beating Stade Lausanne 49–3 in the final on 13 June 2026. In the club's words, the team swept over a totally overwhelmed Stade Lausanne "like a green and white hurricane" from the first minutes. The 2026/27 season was due to open at the Stade des Vuagères against GC Zurich.

The club counts the 2025 title as its fourth national title, and elsewhere counts four LNA titles and four Swiss Cups. By the club's count, it won LNA titles in 1987, 1988, 2022 and 2025. It also counts LNB titles in 1979, 2001, 2004 and 2014, an LNC title in 2017, women's LNA titles in 2006 (RCY Amazone) and 2016 (Berne-RCY), and the Coupe de la Fédération in 1985 and 2017. In March 2024 the club won the Suisse Super Seven tournament at Vessy.
Ground
The club plays at the Stade des Vuagères, Chemin des Vuagères, 1400 Yverdon-les-Bains. The town has built a modular changing-room building of about 270 m² at the Vuagères rugby ground, brought into service at the end of August 2025, with four player changing rooms, two referees' rooms with showers and toilets, two storage rooms, public toilets and a technical room. The Stade Municipal in Yverdon, which hosted the 2026 Finals Day, is also one of the club's venues.
Teams and training
The first team plays in the LNA and the reserve in Excellence A. The reserve lets older players, former juniors and beginners play fifteens at a good level. The club has had a sevens section, "Twenty cents", since 2020. Its touch section, Touch mYxt, had no activity in August 2026.
The rugby school had more than 60 young players from U6 to U19 in August 2026. The U6 to U12 sides play tournaments in Romandy, and the U14 team takes part in tournaments organised by the Association vaudoise de rugby, six of them in autumn 2026. The U16 and U19 sides play in the Swiss championship in an entente with clubs from the Riviera and Valais.
Training times as of August 2026:

At the rugby school, rugby is not reserved for the strongest, the tallest or for boys. Children can attend one or more trial sessions free of charge and without commitment, and a licence is needed only once they choose to play tournaments and matches. Sturdy clothes, a mouthguard and ordinary sports shoes are enough to start. The annual fee is CHF 200 for every rugby school player.
Club life
Under article 2 of its statutes, the club aims to let all its members, men, women and children, play rugby in all its forms while developing a sporting, social and friendly spirit, with the pleasure of sport and play at the heart of its activities. Its values are fair play, humility, perseverance, pleasure and respect, and its slogan is "Le RCY : une équipe, une famille, un esprit !" ("RCY: one team, one family, one spirit!").
The club organises a traditional support dinner; in 2026 it was scheduled for three days before the season opener. For its 50th anniversary it published a 104-page book covering 1974 to 2024, sold for CHF 30.
