NTNUI Rugby is a rugby union club in Trondheim, Norway. It plays sevens, fifteens and touch rugby, and calls itself a social and inclusive club. The club is part of NTNUI, the sports association of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). It has men's and women's teams.
History
NTNUI, the parent sports association, was founded on 25 October 1910 under the name NTHI and has organised the university's sport since then.
The club cooperates with Trondheim Rugbyklubb, a separate club in the city, and the two clubs share training. In June 2021 NTNUI Rugby was among the rugby clubs certified as a Rent Idrettslag ("clean sports club"); Trondheim Rugbyklubb was certified separately.
NTNUI is one of five large clubs that play fifteens regularly, with Stavanger, Bergen, Sagene and Blindern. In the 2025 men's fifteens series NTNUI finished fifth of five teams, with one win and three defeats from four matches; Sagene Idrettsforening won the table.
For 2026 the men's fifteens were drawn to play Sagene in round 1 on 29 August and Blindern in round 3 on 12 September. In May 2026, during the men's Norges Cup sevens series, the Norwegian Rugby Federation picked out NTNUI as a strong challenger throughout the season. After two rounds of the 2026 women's sevens series, NTNUI was fourth.

In 2025 NTNUI played its home men's fifteens matches at Hovedarena Trondheim. The club trains at Lade, at the ground called Lade Idrettsanlegg or Lade Kunstgress. Monday touch sessions are held at Dødens dal.
