History
The club's sports association was formed in 2006, but its rugby section only began work in October 2013. By the club's count, its number of registered, licensed players grew "from nothing to 70 in just ten years in a small provincial town".
By the club's count, players it had developed entered the men's second division (NB II) as newcomers in autumn 2020 and won it twice unbeaten, winning all 22 of their matches. The club then moved up to NB I and won the NB I bronze-medal match in 2024/25.
For 2025/26 the club entered the Extra Liga as Honfoglalók Nagykőrös. In March 2026 Honfoglalók RC and Vienna Celtic were closely following the unbeaten leaders, Esztergomi Vitézek. Honfoglalók were not eligible to play in the play-offs because they had failed to turn up for a match.
