ACT Brumbies is an Australian professional rugby union team, with its headquarters at the University of Canberra in Bruce, ACT. It plays in Super Rugby, which it entered in 1996.
History
The Brumbies say they "burst onto the Super Rugby scene in 1996 as a bold new franchise".
In 2024, as part of what Rugby Australia called the strategic reset and financial stabilisation of Australian rugby, the ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Union agreed to transfer ownership of the Brumbies' professional rugby operations and related business assets to a newly established entity owned and controlled by Rugby Australia. Community rugby in the ACT and Southern NSW remains separate from these professional operations.
The draw for the 2026 season of Super Rugby AUS, the second season of this men's domestic competition, included the Brumbies; their match against the NSW Waratahs was scheduled for Sunday 13 September at the Bungendore Sports Hub in Bungendore.

The pathway programmes, in the team's words, "bridge the gap for talented players from club and school rugby to elite Super Rugby".

The Brumbies call themselves "wild and free", adding that "tough and exciting is what we strive to be".
