Emek Hefer (Hebrew: עמק חפר) is an Israel Rugby Union club. It calls itself "Emek Hefer Sharks – the valley's rugby club" (כרישי עמק חפר - מועדון הרוגבי של העמק).
History
The return of rugby to the valley was announced as "Rugby returns to Emek Hefer" (הרוגבי חוזר לעמק חפר) and as "Emek Hefer Sharks – rugby returns to the valley" (כרישי עמק חפר - הרוגבי חוזר לעמק).
Rugby had been played in Emek Hefer before. In January 2025 a player recalled beginning rugby at the age of 15 in Emek Hefer, when a friend's father with a rugby background from South Africa gathered a group of teenagers to teach them.
