Pacific Pride is the name under which the Rugby Canada Performance Academy, a national high-performance men's academy programme, was set up to compete. Rugby Canada announced the academy on 24 April 2019.
History
The nickname honours a previous academy based in Victoria that took part in the BC Rugby Premier League from 1996 to 2005, a separate and earlier programme.
In 2025/26 a team named Pacific Pride played in BC Rugby's men's Premier league.
Ground
The academy was to be based at Rugby Canada's home campus in Langford, British Columbia.
Teams and training
Players are not recruited by open club membership. Rugby Canada evaluates and selects them every year, and players must earn their selection year over year.
